Day Named Vice President of AANS
Arthur L. Day, MD director of the Cerebrovascular Center and of the Division of Cerebrovascular Surgery, in April was named vice president of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) at the association’s annual meeting in San Francisco.
Day has been involved in the AANS for 26 years. He was treasurer from 1999 to 2002 and has been a member of the executive committee since 1999. “I am looking forward to applying what I do at BWH every day to my new leadership role with the AANS,” Day said.
Founded in 1931, the AANS is a scientific and educational association dedicated to advancing the specialty of neurological surgery to provide quality neurosurgical care to the public. The more than 6,500 members worldwide are board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or the Mexican Council of Neurological Surgery.
