Loscalzo Earns Top AHA Honor
Joseph Loscalzo, MD, PhD, chairman of the Department of Medicine, received the 2006 Research Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. The award was presented to him at the AHA’s annual Scientific Sessions in November in Chicago.
The Research Achievement Award is the highest research award presented by the AHA for lifetime achievement in cardiovascular research. The award has been conferred annually since 1953 to recognize an individual or group for their dedication to the pursuit of knowledge and the promotion of cardiovascular health.
