Weinstein Receives Courage to Lead Award
Debra Weinstein, MD, vice president for Graduate Medical Education, Partners HealthCare, received the Courage to Lead Award from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). She will accept the award during the ACGME’s winter Board of Directors meeting in February.
Weinstein is one of three individuals in the U.S. being honored with the award, which recognizes individuals for outstanding leadership in graduate medical education. Throughout the past 10 years, Weinstein has made significant contributions to the Partners medical education program by initiating common educational programs across specialties, such as a course for incoming chief residents, a series of workshops for program directors, and an annual core curriculum retreat for interns and first-year specialty residents.
The ACGME, established in 1981, is a private, non-profit council that evaluates and accredits medical residency programs in the United States.
