While the Omnicell automated drug dispensing machines have helped lead to improved and efficient care, many nurses have had difficulty with creating and resolving discrepancies. To ensure you have the information you need, Mary Pennington, RN, neuroscience clinical educator, has developed a tip sheet in the form of a laminated card that can hang right behind your hospital ID.
On one side of the card are tips on how to resolve narcotic discrepancies. On the other, is what to do when unable to resolve discrepancies.
These cards will be available to your clinical educator and will be distributed at Competency Day.
