Tumor Imaging Metrics Core
The Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center (DF/HCC) launched a new radiology core service to provide tumor measurements in support of clinical trials. The Tumor Imaging Metrics Core (TIMC) provides accurate, consistent and timely analysis of CT, MR and PET imaging studies. Radiology exams for patients on clinical trials are transmitted via computer network from MGH, BWH/DFCI and BIDMC PACS systems to the TIMC for processing. The TIMC provides standardized radiological measurements including linear, (RECIST, WHO, Cheson), volumetric and Standardized Uptake Value (SUV) for PET scans. Longitudinal results are stored in the TIMC database on a secure website and are available for viewing or downloading by authorized staff.
