BWH Bulletin's year-end issue is a time to highlight BWHers' proudest moments from the past year. We asked you to share one BWH-related memory from 2014 that was meaningful to you, and you offered touching stories about colleagues, patients, families, events and milestones that inspired you. We hope you enjoy these moments.
Helping Those in Need
I am humbled and blessed to work with a fantastic team in the Arthritis Center. I see their efforts to provide exceptional service every day in their interactions with our patients. However, beyond their day-to-day "shining moments," I was especially touched by a recent outpouring of generosity.
I asked the clinic staff if they wanted to do something to give back to those less fortunate during the holiday season. I was amazed by the response from every single person on our team! Because of their generous and giving spirit, we were able to sponsor a 9-year-old girl's wish for a new bicycle and a 4-year-old boy's wish for a new scooter through the Home for Little Wanderers.
But that's not all-since everyone was so eager and enthusiastic about this giving opportunity, we were also able to purchase gift cards for the home to use to fulfill more wishes and needs.
Thank you to the entire Arthritis Center team for this incredible shining moment!
