BWPO Offers Complimentary Retirement Savings Counseling Program
To help BWPO physicians plan for retirement, the BWPO Human Resources Office and the Physician Work Life Committee have created a retirement savings counseling program.
The program makes it convenient for those interested to periodically consult an experienced counselor to review retirement plan investments. The consultation is complimentary and confidential, and conducted on a one-on-one basis.
“We are committed to helping each of our physicians with financial planning for retirement,” said Allen Smith, MD, co-chair of the Work-Life Committee. “It’s never too early to get started. It’s also a good idea to have periodic financial check-ups to make sure you’re on track to meet your goals.”
The BWPO does not recommend one service over another, but that all physicians should plan for retirement. All consultants are non-commissioned.
“The counselors are here to give physicians individual attention and advice about savings and diversifying accounts, among other things,” Brooke Zeliff, co-chair of the Work-Life Committee, said. “We encourage physicians to take advantage of meeting with the counselors.”
