Feild Now Quality Program Manager
Lucy Feild, PhD, RN, was named quality program manager for cardiac and medical nursing and the Emergency Department.
“As manager, I will help develop and lead quality improvement programs and work with staff to accomplish Department of Nursing goals for quality and safety in collaboration with area and department leaders,” said Feild.
“Given her many contributions to nursing practice and the care of the renal transplant population, Lucy will be an asset to the quality improvement team,” said Diane Lancaster, PhD, RN, director of Quality Measurement and Improvement in the Department of Nursing.
Feild has been a staff nurse and nurse in-charge in the Renal Transplant unit, a clinical nurse specialist for several medical units and a nurse researcher. Most recently, she was a senior quality improvement specialist for the Partners HealthCare System Human Research QI Program, and she co-chaired the IRB’s BWH Continuing Review Panel.
Feild completed her master’s degree in the clinical nurse specialist track at Boston College. In 1996, she completed her doctorate in nursing at Boston College. She returned to Boston College in 2000 as the project director for an end-of-life NIH funded study. Feild began her career as a general medical and MICU staff nurse at Georgetown University Hospital.
