One of the reasons that BWH is able to consistently provide top-quality patient care is the diversity of its employees. Every department hosts a myriad of ethnicities, cultures, languages and lifestyles, all of which contribute greatly to its success as a whole. In order to give BWH employees the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the rich variety of culture around them, a year-long festival of culture and diversity will begin this month. During each month, a special celebration will be held that will include food, music, dance performances and other activities associated with various cultures to celebrate “A Taste of Culture.” Below is a schedule for the “A Taste of Culture” events for the next year: September 15-October 15 Hispanic Heritage Month Hispanic Heritage pin giveaway, September 26, Connors Center Lobby October 6, Thorn BC, 12:30-2 p.m. November American Indian Heritage Month November 15, Thorn BC, 12-1:30 p.m.
