Four BWH Physicians Elected into AAAS
Elliot Dan Kieff, MD, PhD, director, Infectious Disease Division; JoAnn E. Manson, MD, DrPH, chief of the Division of Preventive Medicine at BWH and the Elizabeth F. Brigham Professor of Women’s Health at HMS; Arlene Sharpe, MD, PhD, acting chief of Immunology Research Division and George Fabyan Professor of Comparative Pathology at HMS; Raju Kucherlapati, PhD, scientific director of the Harvard Partners Center for Genetics and Genomics and the Paul C. Cabot Professor of Genetics at Harvard Medical School, in October were elected to the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Council as fellows.
They were among 449 members elected by the AAAS Council and will be recognized for their contributions to science and technology at the Fellows Forum in February during the AAAS annual meeting in San Francisco.
The AAAS is an international non-profit organization dedicated to advancing science around the world by serving as an educator, leader, spokesperson and professional association.
