Stop by a free kidney health screening March 10, 10 a.m.–4 p.m., on the second floor mezzanine opposite Shop on the Pike. This screening includes a blood pressure check, diabetes evaluation and urine test for protein and blood. Physicians will be on site for consultation with the screening results.
The fourth annual Ujima Celebration is March 10, noon–1:30 p.m., in the Cabot Atrium. This year’s Ujima Visiting Scholar is Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN, chief executive officer of the National League for Nursing. The annual Ujima Celebration highlights culture and community with awards and song.
The Center for Community Health and Health Equity seeks volunteers to guide students in nearby elementary schools through hands-on science projects one hour a week for six weeks.
