Robert Francis, founder and director of R.P.F. Security Associates, and Mildred Hailey, executive director of the Bromley Heath Tenant Association, were honored for their leadership in developing the Jamaica Plain Violence Prevention and Trauma Response Team, while Eugenia Arroyo, a Brookside Board Member, was recognized for her work in creating and delivering a free karate program for children.
The award ceremony took place during the center’s Annual Community Policy Board Meeting, which hosted Partners HealthCare and BWH leaders, local elected officials and community residents. The guest speaker for the ceremony was Lauren Smith, MD, medical director and chief medical officer of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, who praised the center for its four decades of dedication to serving the community.
