It's not the holiday season, but last week brought the exchange of two heartfelt gifts denoting BWHers' dedication to their patients.
On Friday, heart transplant recipient Roger Moon presented his original photograph “Fire” to the staff on 12A in appreciation for their care. During his many treatments at the hospital, the staff got to know Moon, a former newspaper photographer, for his sense of humor, friendliness and optimism. Moon's family accompanied him to BWH where he formally dedicated the framed photograph of vivid tulips to his BWH family. “The people here changed my life two years ago,” said Moon. “I'll be forever thankful, and this is my small way of saying so.”
