Brigham and Women’s Hospital this fall established a memorial fund in the name of Dr. Phyllis Jen, a beloved colleague, gifted clinician and brilliant mentor who served as medical director of Brigham Internal Medicine Associates (BIMA), before she died in a tragic car accident April 21, 2009.
The Phyllis Jen, MD, Memorial Fund is devoted to continuing Dr. Jen’s mission and the mission of BIMA. It will fund the annual Phyllis Jen Memorial Lectureship and support the quality and safety improvement projects in BIMA and improvements of computer-based systems. In addition, the fund will provide resources for the Phyllis Jen Summer Scholars, continuing her efforts of hosting one to three high school or college students through summer internships in BIMA.
