BWH Nursing in collaboration with Partner’s Community Service, Bunker Hill Community College, and Worksource have received one of four $240,000 grants from BankBoston Charitable Trust to develop a career ladder program. The program will create a career ladder and mentorship for entry level health care workers to address the major gaps that exist in the current work environment. Led by Judy Hayes, RN, director of Professional Practice and Pat Reid Ponte, RN, DNSc, director, Clinical Support, BWH Nursing will work with the Allied Healthcare Training Program at Bunker Hill Community College to develop and implement training courses to allow entry level workers to advance. Worksource Staffing Partnership will provide career counseling and support services for those in the program.
