With $126 million raised toward the hospital’s $200-million goal, the Development Office, responsible for managing BWH’s fundraising efforts, continues to build momentum around its aggressive capital campaign, “Great Medicine in the Making.”
“As we continue to move forward, we are focusing on bringing more definition to key elements of the campaign,” said Chief Development Officer Joan Hadly.
These key elements include reaffirming campaign priorities. In addition, the campaign is continuing to actively engage volunteer leaders to help with communicating the campaign to a broader constituency of donors. And finally, the Development team, staff and volunteers are working to expand the donor base – individual, corporate and private foundations.
“The capital campaign continues to help advance BWH’s mission by fostering excellence in patient care, research and physician education,” said Hadly. “While the economic climate and war with Iraq will continue to bring challenges, we are very much on track to reach our campaign goal in 2005.”
In February, BWH leaders and physicians traveled to Palm Beach, thanking hospital supporters and answering their questions on a variety of health topics, during a weekend packed with special events to recognize “Great Medicine in the Making” donors.
