PROMESA—a BWH international health project that operates in the mountain villages of Honduras and focuses on prevention, training and service learning—participated in a regional conference about health issues in the country. Director of PROMESA, Linda Jo Stern (right), met with the First Lady of Honduras, Aguas Ocañas de Maduro, and discussed her great interest in issues of health and education of the children of Honduras. As a token of the BWH family’s appreciation, Stern acknowledged her dedication by granting the First Lady a copy of Nuestros Cuerpos, Nuestras Vidas, the Spanish translation of the original Our Bodies, Ourselves, written by the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective, donated to PROMESA by Partners Community Benefits.
