In response to ongoing feedback from the hospital’s staff surveys, a steering committee has been assembled to work on the redesign and expansion of the hospital’s intranet site—www.bwhpikenotes.org
The site is designed to provide information for the entire BWH community, but also features special sections devoted to nurses and physicians. As employees may know, the weekly issues of BWH Bulletin appear on the site as well as daily newsclips, nomination forms for recognition programs and a multitude of human resources information and other hospital news.
The departments of Information Systems, Human Resources and Public Affairs are driving the efforts of the recently established steering committee. A new and improved site is slated to be unveiled next January as a result of the committee’s efforts.
“Although BWH Pike Notes has been a success with nearly 8,000 users each month, it is time to take the site to the next level to meet the needs of the ever-expanding BWH community,” said Vin Petrini, chief Public Affairs officer.
“As we continue to address the findings of the BWH staff survey involving communication, we hope the site’s alterations will make it an even more valuable resource to all employees,” added Cheryl Locke, vice president, Human Resources at BWH.
Employee feedback is encouraged—email bwhbulletin@partners.org or visit the site (www.bwhpikenotes.org) to provide feedback and suggestions.
