What do the following three people all have in common – a former New Jersey resident who recently relocated to Boston from the Garden State, a Michigander who just returned from a two-week vacation in Hawaii, and an Oregon native with a passion for mountain biking? Give up? They are all residents at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH).
Each June, BWH adds some 250 residents to its roster, bringing in the best and brightest from medical schools across the country to train within the halls of the hospital and its sister organizations. So who are these residents who contribute year after year to BWH’s distinction as a world leader in medical education?
BWH Bulletin recently caught up with three residents – Bryan Burt, Megan Fix and Craigan Usher – to find out what drew them to their particular field of medicine and what their experience has been at BWH thus far.
