BWH mourns the loss of Clare Neuner, RN, former night IV nurse, who passed away at her home on Jan. 20 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 52.
Born Feb. 18, 1959, in Boston, Ms. Neuner worked as an IV nurse at BWH for 24 years, during which time she touched and made a positive impact on many patients lives and many peers and team members.
Colleagues remember her humor, kindness, bravery and generosity.
“She was compassionate and understanding even with the most difficult patient. She was always ready and willing to learn,” said Sharon Kohler, RN, a colleague of Ms. Neuner’s on the IV team. “She was passionate about everything related to her nursing practice, be it the hands-on, or the products involved with the care. She always wanted and provided the best care she could for her patients. We are all glad that Clare was part of our team.”
Ms. Neuner is survived by her sister and best friend Suzanne, as well as her brothers, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
