Did you know that the 55 percent of inpatients nationwide either have or are at risk for malnutrition? At BWH all patients are screened for nutritional risk factors upon admission and monitored closely by dietitians and other staff throughout their stay. Above, Olga Clovijo, DFCI Immunogenetics, and Robert Ferrazza, BWH Cardiovascular Division, were the winners in contest held by the clinical nutrition staff to raise awareness about malnutrition. Clovijo won a free body fat test, and a $20 donation to the Walk for Hunger will be made in Ferrazza’s name.
