As the career coach in Workforce Development, Lisa Chodos’ job is to help employees at all levels become as successful as they aspire to be and determine how to manage any obstacles standing in the way of their goals.
“Sometimes considering a career change or advancing your education can seem overwhelming and stressful, but there is always a way to do it,” said Chodos, MS, LRC, CPRP, who has worked for 10 years in rehabilitation counseling positions. “Even if you have financial obstacles, there are resources that the hospital offers to help you.”
Chodos, who joined BWH in December, is providing career coaching for employees, teaching the School at Work class and overseeing many additional offerings of Workforce Development.
“I want to really tailor our resources to anyone who comes through the door in order to help each person get what they need to be successful,” she said.
Previously, she served as a rehabilitation specialist at Vinfen Corporation in Cambridge, and prior to that, as an employment specialist at Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, in addition to roles at Jewish Vocational Services and others. Chodos earned her master and bachelor degrees in rehabilitation counseling at Boston University.
