For the fifth year straight, Partners HealthCare was named to Computerworld magazine’s 100 Best Places to Work in IT. Partners ranked 65th nationally and third in New England on the list of workplaces that “combine choice benefits with hot technologies and on-target training.”
Sue Schade, BWH chief information officer, said, “This recognition reinforces that being part of the Information Systems team at Partners allows our staff to grow in their profession while working with new technologies critical to our clinicians.”
The magazine collected workplace data from public and private companies, plus satisfaction ratings from more than 27,000 IT workers in areas such as average salary and bonus increases, percentage of IT employees receiving promotions, IT staff turnover rates, training and development opportunities and the percentage of women and minorities in IT staff and management positions.
Partners earned its place on the list by “promoting open communication between senior leadership and everyone within the IT department.” It also offers the tools necessary for employees to perform their job by providing the ability to work on-site, remotely or on the go, according to Computerworld’s review.
