About 30 musically-talented BWHers sang their hearts out before a panel of judges earlier this week, hopeful of becoming the first ever BWH Idol. The contestants belted out show tunes, church hymns, romantic ballads, rap songs and more as they competed in the first round of BWH Idol. Judges Angela Crutchfield, director of Organizational Development & Learning, Julie Kane, writer in Public Affairs, and musician Paul White carefully selected five finalists who will perform at Street Beat for the fame and $500 cash prize that accompany the “BWH Idol” title.
“Everyone did a fantastic job,” said Kane, author of ThisWeek@BWH e-mails. “The preliminaries uncovered some really great musical talent here at BWH.”
Be sure to stop by Street Beat on July 26 at 15 Francis St. to cheer on your colleagues as they compete in the final showdown.
