Carolyn Hayes, PhD, RN, nurse researcher, BWH’s Center for Excellence in Nursing Practice, has received $10,000 from the American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN) to fund phase II of an ongoing research program. Hayes is a co-investigator for the study Patient Nurse Synergy: Validating a New Model of Practice from the Patients’ Perspectives and will be collaborating with Martha Curley, PhD, RNC, FAAN at Children’s Hospital, where the research will take place. Phase I was conducted at University of California San Francisco. Data collection for the next phase is anticipated to take place at BWH to incorporate the adult patient perspective.
