The PeopleSoft University Team in partnership with HR and Partners Training will offer a series of training sessions as part of the BWH PeopleSoft University beginning in June. Courses include Purchasing: “How to Buy Anything at the BWH,” and Reports: “Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Reports.” PeopleSoft is the software that has been used to run the Materials Management, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger systems at the Brigham since 1998. BWH PeopleSoft University is a series of training sessions to help BWHers learn about using PeopleSoft more effectively and to also learn of changes that will take place during the PeopleSoft Upgrade to version 7.5 on August 7. “From our staff survey, we knew that systems issues are both important to staff and an area for improvement. We also know that if we take care of the finance end of the business that we can focus our energy on what’s most important—patient care and valuing our employees. PeopleSoft University will give users the knowledge and skills to use PeopleSoft towards these important goals,” said Cheryl Locke, vice president of Human Resources and co-sponsor of the project.
