BWH Tobin School Fund/United Way Campaign Gears Up
BWH’s campaign to raise money for the United Way and the Tobin School Fund will begin on October 14 and run through October 24. This year’s campaign will be rolled out electronically, with pledge cards being distributed via email. All staff and employees are encouraged to submit their donations electronically or by printing the pledge card and sending it through interoffice mail to the United Way/Tobin School Fund Campaign, c/o the BWH Mailroom.
BWH will place an emphasis on participation this year, according to Kris Danna, director, Volunteer and Community Access Services and chair of the United Way/Tobin School Fund Committee. “To encourage greater involvement among the individual departments this year, the committee will award all departments who achieve a 20 percent increase in participation from last year with a pizza party,” said Danna.
The campaign will accept all weekly paycheck donations. Money raised supports a wide variety of programs. United Way touches one in three people in communities throughout Massachusetts, whether it’s helping to provide quality child care, after-school programs, job training or elder care. And the Tobin School Fund supports summer camps, field trips, professional development, and donations of school supplies for the neighboring elementary and middle school.
