The Student Success Jobs Program (SSJP) is an after school employment program at BWH designed to give high school students a meaningful work experience in the health care environment. Through SSJP, students from Boston public high schools are selected for paid internships at the hospital. Students have the opportunity to explore various aspects of the hospital and are exposed to different science and medical careers. SSJP matches students with a mentor within the medical field, provides them with hands-on work experience in the hospital, and enhances their interest in higher education in health fields. If you are interested in becoming an SSJP mentor, contact Amy Belyea at 617-525-6725 or via email at (
