Madonna Bonsu hopes to pursue a career as an obstetrician. Now in the 11th grade at Boston Latin Academy, Bonsu has been interning in the Connors Center for Women’s Health under the guidance of Operations Supervisor Kevin Moran.
“It feels great to help the students recognize the importance of continuing their education, while at the same time having them around to help out in anyway they can,” said Moran. “I’d definitely recommend that students take advantage of this program.”
Bonsu has worked on various projects including materials management, personnel filing, chart audits for the clinical educators and electronic fetal monitoring.
“I see different things every day that make me want to learn more” said Bonsu. “One thing that was really exciting was seeing a patient rushed to the delivery room for the first time. It was really interesting, as I had never seen a woman get ready to deliver a child.”
