Breast Density Notification LawNotification about a woman's breast density is now required to be included in letters sent to patients following a mammogram. BWHC patients will receive notification of their breast density, along with information about how breast density factors into the relative risk for breast cancer. Town Meeting, Jan. 20 Join BWH President Betsy Nabel, MD, on Jan. 20, at noon, in Bornstein Amphitheater for the next BWH Town Meeting. Nabel will provide an update on top-of-mind issues, followed by an open forum for discussion and Q&A. The meeting will be webcast at bwhedtech.partners.org/programs/live/townmeeting.
ICD-10 Provider Training In preparation for Oct. 1, when ICD-10 goes into effect, mandatory online ICD-10 training courses have been assigned to all care providers. If you have been assigned these ICD-10 courses, they will be listed as assigned courses on your "My Learning" page in HealthStream, along with your other assignments. Please make sure to complete these ICD-10 courses before April 1. Each department and/or division will also have a one-hour in-person ICD-10 training session, which have been scheduled between January and March. Email BWHCICD10@partners.org with questions. Find the date, time and location of your in-person training session.
Partners eCare Go-Live Update BWHC has eliminated the second go-live wave of clinical applications in many ambulatory practices previously set for July 30. This will now occur on May 30, so that there is only one go-live date for all applications and users. Also, more than 14,000 BWHC employees will receive training on how to use the new system prior to May 30. Staff must complete this training to receive a log-in for the new system.
