Diversity and Inclusiveness Dialogues
“Diversity and Inclusiveness Dialogues: Conscious Conversations About Race and Health Inequities” is the first in a series of programs to foster education and discussions that focus on creating an environment in which everyone feels welcomed and cared for. This workshop will review important research that establishes “bigger picture” variables of race and social structure that determine health, explain the difference between health inequities and disparities, and explore the impact of structural racism on health. Upcoming meeting dates include Nov. 11, 8–10 a.m., and Nov. 17, 4–6 p.m., in the Patient Care Services Conference Room. Email mgreenwald@partners.org or call 617-732-8590 to register. Nurses can register via HealthStream. Learn more and see a full list of workshop dates at BWHPikeNotes.org.
Flu Vaccinations, Attestation
Flu vaccination is still available for employees; get yours by visiting Occupational Health Services (OHS) in the Neville House Clinic during immunization/TB screening walk-in hours on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 7–9 a.m.; and Wednesdays, 2–3 p.m. If these times are not convenient, employees may call 617-732-6034 to schedule an appointment. All employees are required by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to document in PeopleSoft that they have received a flu vaccination by Dec. 12. If you received a flu shot through OHS, your attestation will be documented for you. Learn more, including how to attest if you received flu vaccination elsewhere, at BWHPikeNotes.org.
