Nathan Connell, MD, MPH, has been appointed clinical chief of Hematology at BWFH. He began in the role earlier this month.
Connell is responsible for providing clinical leadership for Hematology and facilitating the Brigham Hematology Division’s activities at BWFH, including oversight of the quality of patient care. He and other members of the Hematology Division will provide consultation for outpatients at Brigham Medical Specialties at BWFH and inpatient consultation at BWFH.
Before joining BWFH, Connell completed a clinical and research fellowship in hematology and oncology at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital. Prior to that, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, where he served as chief resident from 2010 to 2011.
Connell earned his BS in biological sciences from Cornell University, MD from the University of Miami, MS from Barry University and MPH, with a focus on clinical effectiveness, from the Harvard School of Public Health.
