Sidewalk Closure From May 19 to May 28, the sidewalk on Fenwood Road leading to Binney Street will be closed. As part of the tunnel construction between the Brigham Building for the Future and the Shapiro Center, a pedestrian bridge will be installed during this time so people can safely cross an excavated hole on a portion of the sidewalk. The rear of Shapiro will continue to be open, but pedestrians will need to walk through or around Shapiro for access to Brookline Avenue or Binney Street.
Preparing for Retirement Jon Tudor, a financial planner from Fidelity, will present and speak about identifying sources of income, evaluating expenses and the impact of health care costs in retirement on June 6, 7:30-9 a.m., in the Shapiro Breakout Room. This event is geared toward people who are within 15 years of retiring and would like to learn how to develop a retirement income plan. Visit BWHPikeNotes.org to register.
Life with Partners eCare The Partners eCare team invites all employees to attend "Life with Partners eCare: A Clinician Perspective" on May 22, at 8:30 a.m., in Bornstein Amphitheater. Current BWHC clinicians will share their experiences using the Epic Electronic Health Records system in other settings and their perspectives about how Partners eCare implementation will change clinicians' daily work flow. The event will be moderated by BWH's Amy Leigh Miller, MD, PhD, and webcast to the Huvos Auditorium at BWFH. You can also join by webcast via BWHPikeNotes.org.
