ICD-10 Implementation The clock is ticking toward the deadline for a compliance mandate called ICD-10-the 10th version of the International Classification of Diseases, which mandates the codes used to define patient diagnosis at Brigham and Women's HealthCare and beyond. Though the codes are used primarily for reimbursement purposes, the changes will impact staff across the enterprise. In the next eight months, the ICD-10 BWHC Project Team will prepare those impacted by ICD-10 through education and training. To learn more about ICD-10, visit BWHPikeNotes.org, or email bwhcicd10@partners.org.
