Proud parents Bill and Pat Toye (far left) and Dick and Linda St. Lawrence (center), with newlyweds Andrew and Kate
Although they never planned on marrying in a hospital, Kate Toye and Aaron St. Lawrence did just that to ensure the most important guests of their wedding-their parents-could be by their side.
On the morning of Feb. 17, Toye and St. Lawrence, of Waltham, said "I do" inside the BWH Chapel. Originally planning to wed in September, the couple changed their plans to marry last week at BWH, where St. Lawrence's mother Linda is receiving care before she moves to hospice.
Both Toye and St. Lawrence said how important it was to have their parents be a part of the nuptials.
"We are just so thankful," Toye said. "Everyone here was so supportive and helped us put this together in less than 24 hours. It means so much to Aaron and me."
The ceremony was officiated by Chaplaincy Services.
