Attention New Employees
In honor of Women’s History Month, the BWH chapter of the Association for Multicultural Members of Partners (AMMP) began its “Paving the Way: Women Leaders in Healthcare” speaker series on March 11. Joining the agenda of the second of four panel discussions scheduled in March were Sailaja Basavaraju, Deland Fellow; Wanda McClain, administrative director, Office of the President; Sue Schade, Chief Information Officer; and Diane Pressley Capers, vice president, Clinical Services. After Matt Van Vranken, chief operating officer, welcomed and introduced the panel, each member delivered a candid and personal account of their career track—offering insight into the challenges they overcame and the opportunities they seized along the way. The audience members were offered a snapshot of what led these dynamic, successful women to their current positions at BWH. Following the individual presentations, the program transitioned into an open forum in which the panel speakers accepted questions from the audience. The program concluded with a lunch buffet and networking. u
