As part of the International Society of Hypertension in Blacks’ (ISHIB) conference in Boston co-chaired by BWH cardiologist Michelle A. Albert, MD, MPH, this month, many BWHers participated in “A Nurturing Heart Affair.”
The event brought members of the ISHIB, BWH, Harvard and others together for socializing and networking during the conference. One of the evening’s many highlights was the Heartfelt Fashion Show, supported by the NHLBI Heart Truth Campaign, where women of various ethnicities modeled custom couture red dresses. The event had many sponsors, including BWH’s Office of Multicultural Careers within the Center for Faculty Development and Diversity.
