Looking for a fun way to spread the Halloween spirit and support a good cause? Send a pumpkin-gram!
For just $5, you can have a mini pumpkin with a personal message tag delivered to a colleague anywhere on the BWH distributed campus. Proceeds benefit the United Way of Massachusetts Bay, which supports a network of 259 non-profit agencies engaged in direct service delivery focusing on healthy childhood development, increasing youth opportunities, sustainable employment and affordable housing. BWH is hosting a two-week campaign to support the United Way.
“We fully expect these pumpkins to become a fun status symbol throughout the hospital next week,” said Christine F. Collins, director of Patient Access Services, and co-chair of the BWH, United Way Power of Community Campaign.
To send a pumpkin-gram, stop by the table outside the Cafeteria on Monday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or Thursday, Oct. 26, from 7 to 9 a.m. or 2 to 4 p.m. Power of Community volunteers at the table will collect your $5 donation or your pledge to donate online, help you fill out a greeting tag and deliver your pumpkin-gram the very same day.
Bill Churchill, director of Pharmacy Services who co-chairs the campaign with Collins, added, “You can challenge your pumpkin-gram recipient to match your pledge.”
