BWH President Gary Gottlieb, MD, MBA, traded his white coat for an apron last week and became a “celebrity chef” at Codman Square Health Center’s seventh annual Men of Boston Cook for Women’s Health benefit on September 26. The event raises funds for health programs for women and girls in Dorchester, including mammography, health education and child care. BWH and Partners HealthCare were sponsors of the event.
Gottlieb was among some 30 “celebrity chefs” to team with well-known Boston chefs and serve everything from soul food to steak, and dim sum to cheesecake to approximately 800 guests. Gottlieb joined chef Chris Douglass of Icarus to serve grilled mango shrimp with jalopeno sorbet.
Codman Square Health Center, which provided care for 17,000 patients last year, is affiliated with BWH and Partners HealthCare.
