After nine years in Orthopedics, including four as administrative manager of Orthopedic Surgery, Kristen Almechatt last month began as director of Noninvasive Cardiology. In her new role, Almechatt has administrative oversight for the vascular laboratory, echocardiography, stress testing, EKG and anticoagulation clinic. She reports directly to Elizabeth Glaser, vice president of Clinical Services.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for me and a significant step in my career,” said Almechatt, who began her BWH career as a temporary employee in the Orthopedic Clinic. “After nine years in one department and now crossing that threshold, nothing is familiar except the fact that everyone here shares the desire to succeed and the same commitment to excellent care,” she said.
