Celebrate the winter/holiday season by decorating your office. A pizza party will be given to the winning department, with the runners-up receiving cookie parties. So start decorating. Staff Activities Advisory Committee judges will view all decorated departments the week of December 15.
To enter:Contact Jacqueline Ashby via email (jashby@partners.org) or at ext. 2-6584 by Wednesday, December 10, with the following information: 1.Central contact person name and telephone number;2.Department name and exact department location (building, floor and room number); 3. Names of the people in your office/department that participated in the decorating process; and 4. Theme of your decorations.
With the holiday season upon us, staff and employees are reminded to keep safety in mind when decorating their office or work areas.Guidelines for holiday decorations:•No combustible decorations are used at the hospital.• Live Christmas trees or other natural decorations (wreaths, holly,laurel rope, etc.) are not allowed.•All decoration materials such as cotton, paper, crepe paper and cloth paper and artificial Christmas trees must be flame retardant.•Electric lights and electrical ornaments may not be used on any decorations (wreaths, trees, etc.). Remotely mounted flood lights maybe used to illuminate trees.•Exits in the hospital cannot be blocked or obstructed by any type of decoration.•Decorations cannot be placed near any heat source (radiators, electrical heaters, etc.).•Decorations cannot be hung within 18 inches of sprinkler heads.•Lighted candles or open flames cannot be used as decorations anywhere in the hospital.
