All employees are required to wear BWH indentification badges while at BWH. Wearing ID badges is critical to an effective hospital security program. ID badges must be worn visibly with the picture side out and above the waist. Always report a lost badge to the Security Department immediately. Badges with expiration dates past due should be renewed as soon as possible. If your ID badge provides access to secured or sensitive areas, make sure it is kept in a safeguarded location when not in use. Also remember that your ID badge cannot be altered or transferred to another person. Please cooperate with security officers when they conduct ID badge checks. It is not only important for maintaining hospital security but wearing proper identification in the hospital is also required by Massachusetts State law. If you have any questions about ID badges, contact Security Administration at ext. 2-6001.
