BWH Updates Logo Shield
Brigham and Women’s Hospital last month unveiled an updated logo with the letters “BWH” inside the logo shield to facilitate brand consistency across the hospital and its affiliates. BWH’s world-renowned identity, image and reputation—the hospital’s brand— is its greatest asset representing the total experience or promise made to patients and their families, trainees, employees, medical staff, referring physicians and the public.
“Building and enhancing our brand identity is everyone’s job. Well-managed brands get stronger. Our logo signature is the most visible representation of our brand, and its consistent use reinforces our identity everywhere it is used,” said Vicki Amalfitano, vice president of Marketing and Planning.
The key element of the visual identity is the logo signature —the logo shield and hospital name. While the modified logo was implemented earlier, the change is not a significant one, and BWHers should exhaust current supplies of stationary, business cards and other printed materials.
