Women's Health Research Day Conference
Thursday, May 25 2 p.m.-6 p.m. Longwood Galleria, 342 Longwood Avenue Harvard Medical School’s Center of Excellence in Women’s Health presents the First Annual Women’s Health Research Day Conference. This conference will enhance the visibility of women’s health research and encourage developing dialogues at HMS and affiliated hospitals. It features an opening address by HMS Dean Joseph B. Martin and a keynote speech delivered by JoAnn E. Manson MD, DrPH, chief of Preventive Medicine. Topics include Opportunities in Women’s Health Research, Women’s Health Research at HMS, and Women’s Health Research in the Future. A reception and poster presentations by the 1999 HMS Fund for Women’s Health grant recipients will follow the conference. The First Annual Dennis Thomson Compassionate Care Lecture
May 31 at 5 p.m. Bornstein Amphitheater Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot—Harvard Graduate School of Education professor, MacArthur Prize Fellowship recipient, and author of Respect: An Exploration—will be the featured speaker at the First Annual Dennis Thomson Compassionate Care Lecture.
