Teen Health Center Celebrates
The Teen Health Center at English High School, a program of Brookside Community Health Center, celebrated its fifth anniversary on February 14, 2000. As part of the celebration, the center held a school-wide health fair on February 16 attended by (L. to R.) Michelle Roover of the Teen Health Center, students Johanna Peña, Osman Abdelgadir, and Carolin Nova, and Nurse Practitioner/Program Manager Jo-Anne Dillman. In its five years, the number of students registered at the Teen Health Center has grown from 118 to more than 360. Last year alone the center provided 1,420 medical and mental health visits. To further support the Teen Health Center’s services, Dillman will be part of this year’s Team Brigham, BWH’s team in the Boston Marathon. Call BWH’s Development Office at ext. 8981 for information on sponsoring Team Brigham and supporting the Teen Health Center.
