Three BWHers are recipients of the 2011 Harold Amos Faculty Diversity Award: Graham McMahon, MD, MMSc, of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hypertension, Selwyn O. Rogers, Jr., MD, MPH, Division Chief, Trauma, Burn and Surgical Critical Care, and Thomas Sequist, MD, medical director of the Brigham and Women’s Outreach Program.
The award recognizes individuals who have promoted diversity and made significant contributions to advancing the nation’s health, selected from nominations made to Harvard Medical School’s Office for Diversity and Community Partnership.
The awards were presented on April 12, at the Howard, Dorsey, Still Lecture, named for the first three African Americans who graduated from Harvard Medical School in the mid-1800s.
