BWH will offer a salary increase to employees in the hospital’s merit-based program for fiscal year 2011, BWH President Betsy Nabel, MD, announced Oct. 1.
“The end of the fiscal year at BWH is a good time to reflect on our collective accomplishments, and in doing so, I would like to extend my gratitude to each of you for your dedication and focus in helping BWH deliver on its mission,” said Nabel. “Our leadership in patient care, research and education speaks to the passion and commitment we all share in setting a standard of excellence in health care today. One small way to recognize this achievement is through the Wage and Salary Program, a merit system based on performance.”
A 2 percent salary increase budget has been established for eligible employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Any increase in pay becomes effective the last month of the quarter of your annual review date. As in the past, the completion of a written performance evaluation with a rating of level 3 or higher is required to receive an adjustment in pay. Those who reach the maximum of their pay range may be eligible for a lump sum bonus on their review date.
The Brigham and Women’s Physician Organization is following a similar approach for its weekly paid employees.
