Tower 15AB patient care assistant Glenmi Del Rosario was in the right place at the right time a few weeks ago when her quick thinking helped a man in a difficult situation.
On her way out of a steakhouse in Medford, she noticed a man choking on his food. Without thinking, she jumped into action and performed the Heimlich maneuver and helped the struggling man. “It happened so quickly, I didn’t have time to think about what I was doing; it was an instinct,” said Del Rosario, who has been a PCA for three years and is studying at Bunker Hill Community College to become a radiology technologist.
Del Rosario credited her quick thinking to her training and working with patients at BWH.
