Annette Rubin last month was named director for the Pollin Cardiovascular Wellness Program.
In this role, she is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation and management of the program, which focuses on four areas of cardiovascular wellness: research, clinical, education and community awareness/outreach. The Pollin Cardiovascular Wellness Program was made possible by a $12.5 million gift from Irene Pollin, who founded the nonprofit organization Sister to Sister.
“Annette brings a tremendous breadth of experience,” said JoAnne M.Foody, MD, medical director of Cardiovascular Wellness. “She has a passion for making a difference in the community and is a wonderful addition to our program. I am certain that, under Annette’s direction, we will develop a leading center for cardiovascular wellness locally as well as nationally.”
Prior to joining BWH, Rubin was executive director for the Boston Children’s Chorus (BCC). She also previously was president of Executive Service Corps of New England and deputy director for Project Bread/The Walk for Hunger. She holds a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Rutgers University Graduate School of Urban Planning and Policy Development and a bachelor’s degree from Clark University.
