Lissi Abreu and Marlie Constant, of Endoscopy, enjoy ice cream sundaes with toppings galore during the kick-off ice cream social.
Hundreds of employees enjoyed a sweet start to BWH’s United Way campaign during the kick-off ice cream social earlier this week.
Throughout the two-week campaign, BWH aims to raise more than $150,000 to support the United Way’s programs for people in need. The campaign runs through Oct. 30.
Next week, be on the lookout for the United Way’s Rolling Rally cart as it makes its way around the hospital, delivering treats and campaign information to the Cafeteria, Shapiro Center Bridge, Brookside Community Health Center, Neville House and One Brigham Circle.
Donating is easy. Employees will receive direct, personalized e-mails with a link to their own giving page, simplifying online donations through payroll deduction, credit card or check. Printed pledge cards also will be available throughout the campaign for those who do not use e-mail.
As always, the campaign provides donors with chances to win raffle items, such as a new bicycle, parking spots, Bruins and Celtics tickets, gift cards and much more. Donors’ names automatically are entered into the raffle drawings.
